Why I’m Running
I’m running because I care deeply about this place.
Canmore has shaped me through community, shared struggles, and opportunities to connect and contribute. I’ve seen how resilient, generous, and engaged this town is and that inspires me to keep listening and showing up.
My experience as a frontline worker, renter, volunteer, and community builder shapes how I listen, connect, and contribute to our community. For the last decade, I’ve worked multiple jobs to stay here, searched for affordable housing, stood in line at the food bank, and felt the frustration of not always being heard in local decision-making.
That’s why I want to be a voice for the frontline workers, seniors, immigrants, young adults, and families who make this community what it is, yet too often feel unheard.
I believe Canmore can be more than a beautiful place to visit. It can be a place where everyone belongs, where we are heard, and where policies reflect the real needs of those who live here.
My experience working with the Town of Banff and volunteering with groups like Canmore Young Adult Network, the Bow Valley Food Alliance, and the Immigrant Advisory Group has given me valuable insight into how local government works and how important it is for everyday voices to be part of the conversation.
Local government works best when it reflects the people it serves. That’s the kind of leadership I believe in: one that listens, includes, and is grounded in community.
If this vision resonates with you, I invite you to support me.
My Priorities
If elected, I will focus on:
Livability
Canmore should be a place where frontline workers, seniors, immigrants, young adults, and families can live and thrive. Everyone deserves the opportunity to call this community home.Environment & Wildlife
Protecting the land, wildlife, and natural beauty that make Canmore unique is essential. Responsible planning can safeguard the environment for generations to come.Inclusion & Equity
A strong Canmore is one where every voice is heard and everyone feels a true sense of belonging, no matter their background or identity.Truth & Reconciliation
Recognizing and honouring Indigenous voices, and taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation, is key to building respectful and lasting relationships.Action-Oriented Leadership
Strong leadership means moving beyond words and delivering real, practical solutions that meet the needs of a growing and changing community.Emergency Preparedness
Building a safer, more resilient Canmore means being ready for wildfires, floods, and other challenges—today and into the future. For more details, visit My Platform for each priority.
We need to make sure our policies truly reflect the people of Canmore - the ones who live here, work here, and keep this community strong every day.
Because community isn’t something we inherit it’s something we build and nurture together.
And that simply wouldn’t be possible without the very people who hold Canmore together.
